Baseline assessment of the batteries' value chain in Lebanon

A comprehensive analysis of the batteries value chain and Lebanese legislative framework will help understand the key issues related to waste batteries. 

Establishment of a collection and disposal facility, compliant with environmental standards, for batteries and PV waste

Waste issued from the rehabilitation activities will be collected and handled following environmentally sound practices, including transport and intermediate storage of the batteries. The batteries will be tested and reused when possible or disposed of. A storage facility compliant with international standards and Lebanese legislation for the management of batteries will also be established
